Enjoying life is easy and West Baton Rouge offers any number of ways to "Pass a good time!"

The Parish boasts operational parks and community centers throughout the Parish, offering morning aerobic classes, art classes, or self defense classes. The facilities are home to organized league sports for children of all ages, as well as adults.

The Parish is just miles from the eastern edge of the atchafalaya basin and close to a number of waterways that lead straight to the Gulf of Mexico. The location lends itself to the proof that Louisiana truly is a Sportsman's Paradise, providing one of the best freshwater and salt water fishing in the world. Louisiana waters are teeming with fish, from two-pound trout to 800-pound tuna.

West Baton Rouge Parish is located in the middle of the largest migratory bird flyway in the United States, providing the seasonal hunter with opportunities for tremendous outings. Central Louisiana is also blessed with a number of deer as well.

The location of West Baton Rouge also makes a great beginning for day excursions to any number of locales. In one hour or less, one could be enjoying"café au Lait and beignets" in New Orleans or classic Zydeco music in Cajun Country.
